Good to Know
1 / What should I bring?
We’ll have big containers of water, so bring your refillable bottle. (The first 100 people to arrive will receive a free End the Era of Fossil Fuels water bottle!) Eat an early lunch before arriving or bring a lunch/snacks to eat between the march and the organizing fair. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Bring a sign if you've got one, or grab one of ours when you get here. And be sure to bring lots of energy to start the revolution!
2 / Is this a family friendly event?
Yes, kids are welcome! During the organizing fair (3-5 pm), we’ll have a children’s area for younger kids, and older kids are encouraged to join the Fridays For Future Youth Corner for their workshop. All participants are welcome to join those sessions and activities that fit their comfort level and interest.
3 / What's the rain plan?
We’ll have some tents for protection from the elements, and health and safety staff will be on hand in case of emergencies. But we'll be there rain or shine - climate change doesn't stop and neither will we!
4 / Is this event ADA accessible?
We will have a limited number of chairs for folks who need them. There are ramps at Freedom Plaza and the march will be on paved roads. We will be providing simultaneous ASL interpretation for the rally section of the event (12-1 pm). Events like this tend to get loud, so if you are sensitive to noise we suggest bringing earplugs.
5 / Are there restrooms?
Yes, there will be port-a-potties.
